Thanks ED...I guess time will tell if BlueArc is all what it's cracked up to be.....one thing I have been hearing though is the folks that are beta testing, obviously already use emc, ntap, ibm, cmpq or somebody for their storage needs...yet these companies do not want to let their beta versions they are testing go...they are wanting to actually buy them...not even let BlueArc take them back.....Thats pretty telling......they like the product so much, they are willing to buy on the spot....while that emc, ntap or cmpq system gets tossed aside or whatever. You bring up a vaild point about it being hard to dethrone the champion....to bust threw allegiances....for instance...company abcd has a great relationship with emc...what would cause emc to switch allegiance? It would have to be something very worthwhile, as you said, for companies to break these "bonds" they develop......well, like I said, I dont understand the techno babble of it all, but if what I read is true....if it is cheaper, faster, better and etc, etc, etc.....that very well could be all it takes to switch allegiance.....after all, business is business.....as a business owner, I will do whats best for my business, and if switching vendors makes my business better, then I wouldn;t hesitate........with that said, I have no idea how good this new storage architecture is, but I find it intersting that the companies beta testing it, want the product. period. Doesnt matter who they are currently using...they have seen BluArc at work, and dont want to let the systems out their door....at least thats what i hear....could all be fud and smoke screens and mirrors for all I know, but if my wifes boss knows about bluearc, there has to something to it in my opinion....he is Mr. Techno Geek!!

Thanks again
