laodeng- that's the timeline of events that I understood to be accurate as well. Although there have been articles and posts around here reflecting 10m or 13m subs by end of 2001. I never understood how this was possible if Unicom wasn't going to start service until Oct of 2001. I think there has probably been some misunderstandings with the terms (capacity vs subs) that has lead to the conflicting information.
