Any chance of getting a free lunch out of this.....?

almost all of the auctions have last second snipers. I place my last and perhaps my only bid with under 20 seconds left on the auctions.....

If there is a reserve that has not been hit...I sit and wait....and may have 3 browser windows open to refresh and bid without needing to waste the time of reloading if over bid.

I always use the proxy when I bid for the last time....If I want it, I expect to pay a bit more than 3 times the minimum increase as the final price....example if an item is 300 and requires 10 increments, my last bid, even if there has been no other bidders will be $330 or $340....the snipers will really squeeze the nickel and will usually not overbid. I suspect they often attempt re-sale of some items and every $10 counts....

I also suspect using the proxy bidding system turns off many bidders...since nobody really wants to pay more than they have to.....and this is good....it allows me to steal from more bidders.....kinda like the newbies that never learn to set a stop....

good luck...
