Who killed Kennedy?

Not Oswald. He was a dupe. He used or was given the most unlikely weapon to accomplish the job, a Mannlicher Carcano, a real POS. I like the theory in "Appointment in Dallas: the final solution in the Assassination of JFK." by Hugh McDonald. He states a professional assassin named "Saul" was the real assassin and was supposed to kill Oswald as part of the deal. He expected the Secret Service to fire on Owwald and their fire would cover his actions. It didn't happen and the chance was lost. Saul never states the reasons but claimed to know the people who contacted him from the Cuba Invasion. He said he shot from the County Records Building, 2nd Floor, which is opposite and slightly behind the position of the limousine and has a good line of fire to the Book Depository.

No expert here but the story sounds very plausible. I read "Best Evidence" and browsed some others.
