and RIMM

Give it a few weeks/months and the game related stocks, THQI, ERTS and NVDA will follow the way of the PDA stocks. You heard it here first.

Floyd, as I have stated many times, I stick up for the device and Springboard technology. NOT the stock.

Retired my notebook and settled for a device that is in-between a sub-notebook and a PDA. I call it my digital wallet. I recently purchased a Visor to replace my PalmV. I was going to wait for the new Palm 500 series, did many many hours of research before deciding that the Visor would suit my needs for a digital wallet. If it was not for the Springboard module, I would not even give Handspring a second look. The Springboard module was the sole factor in my decision. A Palm 500 would work, however, if I want to add a modem, I would have to take the Palm 500 out of the case and attach a modem. With the Visor, I open the leather flip cover and insert a Springboard modem.

Digital Wallet, equipt with a 192MB CF card will work great to carry my office critical data around with me no matter where I go, not to mention it's a 200MB Visor. You can do the same with MMC cards, but then I would have to buy MMC readers and my digital camera uses CF as well. And attaching other devices add to the weight/size of the Palm, and the style of case would not work either.

These cards are seen by the OS as a hard drive. You can store any data you want on CF and MMC cards.

I use the E&B Slipper with belt clip case.

In conclusion, you could make a digital wallet with a Palm 500 or 505 as well. But if you plan on buying other attachments, you are better off looking at the Visor.

The future is exciting for the PDA.
