Natural gas at 5 1/2-week high as cold revives supply fears; heating oil
up
New York, March 27 (BridgeNews) - Natural gas futures zoomed 5.6% to a
5 1/2-week high on concerns that current cold weather covering much of the
eastern U.S. will translate into record low stocks as gas companies
prepare for both summer storage and electricity generation demand. Heating
oil also felt the chill, climbing 2.4% after reaching a six-week high.
