How many of you had a chance to see some hilarious TV footage of a baseball game yesterday?
The camera angle was from behind the pitcher facing towards the batter.
The pitcher wound up and fired the ball when suddenly, in its path, there appeared a white explosion that, then, slowly drifted down to the turf.

Upon a very slo-mo replay, we see a pigeon crossing the ball's flight path and it is absolutely nailed by the ball. The bird tumbles, tail feathers over beak and comes to a flopping and lifeless halt on the diamond.
I think the announcer said the pitch looked like a slider.

I never did learn if that pitch was ruled a "do over". It would seem only fair, IMO.

BTW, it's time to bring your wheelbarrows of cash for the pending sale of PDE. Get it while it lasts.
