i'm not familiar with McLaren, but much of what he says sounds reasonable. as for the current bounce, we'll see. it still has to prove itself. looks like a typical bear market retracement to me so far...all the elements are in place. at some point we WILL of course get a decent rally with staying power. but i 'm not a believer in 'fifteen minute bear markets' for the Dow. lots of discounting left to do imo. the news by early April are likely to be middling to worse. middling in terms of general economic data, worse in terms of corporate earnings.
