Skeet: Yes, that was my point too. In the 1980s there was only one thing Japanese could possibly believe about real estate -- it will always go up in price. Welcome to the real world. The same was true of US stocks -- people assumed that you could not pay to much for stocks and anyway, even if stocks go down in price, if the companies are any good then the price will go up in a reasonable amount of time (5-10 years) -- right? Wrong.
