Actually, I do know of one adult who has tried a scooter and that one adult managed to have an accident. He's a sixty-something who was
trying his grandson's scooter and hit a rock. Scuffed himself up pretty good--but not enough that I couldn't laugh at him to his face.


Saw a kid riding one of those scooters that have a small gas engine driving them. He was riding on the far right of the street like a bicycle and had a shirt on that read "NO ID REQUIRED". It made me wonder if that was one of the attractions of these things.

I have to balance how intrusive it would be to monitor the offending behavior- and whether the behavior is discretionary. It is somewhat arbitrary- all life is arbitrary and capricious to me, starting from conception, actually starting from whatever start was, the big bang or before- it ALL seems arbitrary and capricious- I don't see why I should be any different.
