People in general avoid Tucson in the mid to late summer, but they are missing quite a treat in my estimation. It is my favorite time of year, the Monsoons are violent and beautiful.. I was quite surprised by them having grown up in San Francisco and thinking of the Desert as 'dry'. Now I look forward to them... >>
