One more thing. I was in Sears in Washington Square (Portland, OR) today. Guess what I found on the shelves? A Compaq 900 Mhz Duron system. The 900 Mhz Duron has not even been announced yet! Maybe the announcement is coming soon.

They had an 800 Mhz Duron, a 900 Mhz Duron, a 1.1 Ghz Athlon, and a 933 Mhz Pentium III. I asked the sales guy how the AMD systems were selling. He said, "we're selling a lot of them." I then asked him about the Intel system. He said, "Not too many." He jestured toward the Durons and said, "Look at the price points... and you're still getting a pretty good processor." I agreed, and said, "yep, the Pentium is dead meat." True story.

Pravin.
