Got caught in one of those flash floods near Flagstaff, AZ one summer about 15 yrs ago. It was a real sight to behold. The water just rushed around everywhere. It was like it came out of nowhere.

Only saw one that was worse, and that was just outside Louisville KY not long after that. Was swimming at an old quarry, and it started to drizzle, so we headed for home. It started pouring harder and harder, and by the time we got back to town, there was a river flowing across the highway ahead, so we pulled off on some high ground and waited. Wasn't long before some dumbazz tried to drive through it. Talk about an idiot. She barely made it out before her car got swept away.
