Pravin,

Hmmm. No comments regarding the report that Crush will use dual channel DDR and no integrated graphics?

THe fact that they said that it would not have integrated graphics made me doubt slightly the credibility of the source, because I thought that was a given.

But the other items, dual channel DDR, LDT between NB and SB are consistent with earlier rumors. There was a link to I believe a french site recently tha had a picture of what supposedly was a Crush based mobo. It had 3 DIMMs, and I speculated that 1 channel was for the built in graphics, 2 for main memory.

Somehow I have my doubts about the Tbird <= 1466, 1533 <= Palomino. Not that I would complain ....

Joe

I think NVidia would be wise to have no integrated graphics on the Crush. 3D graphics of the Savage (VIA) and SiS variety seem to be valued at no more than $25 by the market. Why should NVidia sell their GeForce2 technology so cheap? OTOH, dual channel DDR sounds like its made for integrated graphics where you need bandwidth to keep performance high.

Is it possible Crush motherboards will have a socket for an LDT, er HT, interface graphics chip rather than a standard AGP slot? Such a chip may or may not have embedded RAM.

In any case, a dual channel DDR chipset for the Palomino will give awesome performance, integrated graphics or not.
