It's certainly possible, the way the stock has been trading (strong) in a very weak NAS also lends some credence to this. Dell is very aggressive on price. I ordered a Precision workstation with 2 1GB processors and three 17" digital LCD flat panel monitors from them two days ago. Just on the workstation alone, CPQ was around $800 more, and the difference just gets bigger when pricing in flat panel monitors. No doubt CPQ is losing workstation business to Dell as long as they run these promotions. They constantly run deals like $300 bucks off and free shipping on their workstation systems.
