Scumbria,

I have seen indications that 0.11u processes are no faster than 0.15u processes.

Dominated by interconnect capacitance?

Pravin.

I remember a discussion some time ago about about CPU being either speed path limited or heat limited. P6 is now apparently speed path limited, K7 is heat limited. So a shrink of these 2 cores should benefit K7 more, since the one thing that you can definitely count on is lower power consumption.

How does this translate to P4?

Joe

Can you put this statement in some kind of context?? Otherwise, it is near meaningless and misleading.
