TA, I believe Telus may be a wireless carrier in Canada. If they need a lot of fiber, then one can expect the deployment of 3G networks (which will offer high speed internet), will mean a lot more optical sales.
Will probably be a second half and next year story but when will the equipment provider stocks react? That is the big question. The more these stocks like JDSU and NT dip lower, the better the possibility that they will stop selling off on bad news in April--possibly creating some upward momentum into the summer and we also start seeing some increase in spending coming up in the second half.

Still waiting to buy back into this sector. If they stop moving down, I am going to buy. If Cisco was to warn, I would buy that stock first and then look at JDSU and NT. Cisco may actually still turn a profit unlike NT. I had thought NT was better a little while ago but realize that companies with no debt and little in house manufucturing is a better bet..ie. Cisco.
