that_crazy_doug,

The processor war that AMD is fighting with Intel is very dynamic. As an AMD investor, I am glad that AMD is willing to adjust its roadmap in light of new information and conditions. I think one of Intel's biggest downfalls the last two years has been their inability, or unwillingness, to do just that.

Pravin.
Someone just dumped a couple hundred thousand shares. Ouch.

"If you're not going to reach 1.5ghz in January, then don't say you're going to. "

I think that was the Jerry of old talking there. It is also likely they could have shipped a 1.5GHz Athlon in January, even if it needed a 100 watt Peltier and a 450 watt power supply. A list of processors and max power consumption was released late last year, Tom had it on his site, so there was at least some groundwork laid for it. But the P4 proved not to be formidable competition, so it got back-burnered. Now I think it still should have been released and priced at $1000, but I guess they didn't feel the need.
