For me the negative savings rate and its trend in US indicates, Mr Consumer has (been?) overextended. And re current account: fine to optimize the global Rate of return on capital. Except for the current reality check.

I have to be remembered of this fact now and then (g). Taking economic data (too) seriously reminds me of our friends in neighbouring boards, with their eyes glued to some 8Day gliding blabla. Caution is advised ;)
