fyodor,
re:"Ok then, what do you think will be the probable source of either DRDRAM or P4 motherboards that support DDRSDRAM? Or do you think it is probable that millions of people will buy SDRAM-based P4 machines?"

I expect that Intel will probably stumble.

On RDRAM i wasn't aware there was a shortage.

I know Intel signed a deal with samsung to guarantees enough RDRAM for 2H 2001. So samsung will PROBABLY supply the RDRAM.

Intel is currently supplying PIV MB's although other folks are toying with it. I have seen nothing to indicate that MB supply has been a problem for Intel (UNLIKE AMD).

As far as folks buying PIV with SDRAM. Sure folks buy MHZ as that is percieved performance.

And a $1000 PIV with SDRAM machine will find millions of takers.

I don't believe Intel will have a problem selling the product.

The real key is wether they can produce millions of 0.13 PIV's at high Mhz.

Why do you feel that AMD is guaranteed to suceed??

If they have one hiccup we will see teens on the stock again.

And thats the nature of hi-tech.

Just look at PALM, Nortel, Cisco etc today.

regards,

Kash
