Jim, Gelsinger's latest promise was that Intel's P4 SDRAM chipset would be available by the "end of the year."
I suspect that means that it will be a DDR chipset that will work only with the Northwood P4, and that they have cut a deal to leave the mid range market (P4 with SDRAM) to Via.
