Another ANALyst on CNBS just responded to a caller who bought CSCO at $20 with the oft heard new mantra....

"You just need to put a blindfold on for now and you'll do fine".

Sure I guess if you can't read your IRA statement, it can't affect you.

I'm old enough to remember when investing in an IPO was widely considered a speculation fraught with risk. In fact, in the old days, most expected the share price to decline from the IPO price soon after going public, ones that continued to rise were rare.

Although, I do think pushing out an IPO that warned on the same day brings the investment banking community to a new all time low.
