Pete's point was that the Intel compiler is not suitable for commercial apps. Which is 100% true. I know you love your precious Intel compiler, but even that barely gives P4 the lead in SPEC anymore. BTW: I'm gonna stick my neck out here and guess that the compiler wasn't optimized for Athlon.

Seeing as you are making the claim the burden of proof is on you. Where is your proof that no commercial applications use Intel's compiler?
