A lot of funds have limits to the amount of cash that they can carry. Before the end of quarter they must be pretty much fully invested. If they are sitting on the side lines we could see some buying because of this.

Hard to say what they would buy - there is not much that will look good on the quarterly report.

Redemptions....good point....also, any "big names" that had horrible 1st q (csco, arba...) are getting absolutely toasted here..likely not a lot of relief for those names in next 2 days.....don't want those names on the statement..

Reminder to thread: If you short a stock, and it goes to 0 (out of biz..a la Etoys)...(I believe) you don't have to pay any capital gains tax....

Talk about having your cake and eating it too.....may we all get fat..
