Soft money is not an indicator of the size of business or labor unions. Perhaps your problem is deeper than just a lack of information. It's obvious even to the stupid (but not to the very stupid) that the democrats received some money from business too.

It is still true that the resources to business are much larger, a hundredfold or more, than the resources to labor. These are still a hundredfold larger than the resources available to environmental groups. These groups would have little effect at all based on money, it is the obvious truth of their message that gets them attention and priority.
