I am. Should I be? :) Professional politicians are the scourge of our political system. I liked the part in Gladiator when the emperor said that Maximus was the right man to lead the empire precisely because he did not want to. As I remember from my history books, Washington had the same attitude. I think when politicians become too entrenched, they lose their effectiveness. A few terms in Congress is enough to corrupt, demoralize, or desensitize the best man or woman.
