Brian...Thanks for the response. I never used CS on the old computer and never ran Earthlink on the new one. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the old computer. I checked my modem and clicked on properties and my speed was 115200. Is this good or should I lower it to 57600? Also, I stumbled across "advances port settings" by hitting modems, properties, connections and port settings. The preset for "receive buffer" was "high" and the preset for "transmit buffer" was "maximum." I now have both set for "maximum." Maybe this will help a little bit. What do you think? Thanks for the help.
