I respectfully disagree. America has been and is great not because it has 50 states, but because it has 50 United States. Instead, I believe it is time for the power base to shift from the professional politicians on both sides back to the people who can get the job done. If you are Republican, then vote for Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. If you are Democratic, then vote for Jerry Brown or Ralph Nader. Or your neighbor Tim, or Melinda in accounting. SURELY we have more qualified candidates than the crop we have been seeing.
