Throw the bums out. All of them. The entire CA legislature and the governor. I intend to vote against both incumbents for the legislature and against Davis. The deregulation bill passed unanimously, so not one legislator can plead not guilty.
(Actually, the last legislature passed it, so a few newcomers could.)

And, yes, Davis has blown it. The Republicans will stabbing each other in the back to get a chance to run against him. I have heard that his method of operating is to do nothing until a problem becomes a crisis; it certainly seems to be true. Sometimes this works because the problem gets solved without you having to intervene. Not this time.

Little Caesar didn't go very far. Just 50 miles up the road from me. The people of San Francisco fell below even my very limited expectations of them when they elected him Mayor.

The housing market in MD is not as expensive as CA. You can get a nice three bedroom anout 2500 sq. feet in a nice neighborhood for about 200-220 K. Of course in the Washington suburbs it costs a lot more.
