Looked over charts, scary if you are a bull.

NDX is in an air pocket, hence its performance of late.

I think taxes are killing people here. I have a significant cap gains bill from last year, and they were all short term gains. I shudder to think what the bill must be for people that have held tech for years.

I'm thinking Old Economy manages to outperform until the end of the quarter, but then the party really begins.

Sell and hold.....

Buying the Bottom. Adding small positions in our best ideas to the Funds seems the only sensible thing to do while stock prices are so depressed. I don't know that this is the absolute bottom, but then we aren't buying the markets, we are buying individual companies. Some of them have such strength, dominance and potential, their prices seem far out of line with their current value and future potential. Today we added to New Frontier more PCS, STOR and AVNX.

PCS is, in addition to Verizon (whose service is so awful I cannot imaging why anyone would buy them), the only major North American wireless company using CDMA. This is important because the upgrade path to 2.5G and 3G wireless is far easier and quicker for CDMA than it is for GSM, TDMA, or the other wireless standards. As a result, we think they will be an early beneficiary of dramatically enhanced 2.5G services later this year or early in 2002.

The need not just for storage, but for new, expensive storage architectures like SAN (Storage Area Networks), is beginning to really worry many corporations. Many of them are experiencing exploding support costs. An HP storage exectieve half-jokingly said at a recent visit by analysts that IT departments will have to build hotels for all their storage support people if the management issue is not solved. STOR is one of the solutions. ""IPS Funds
