And I think that playing to the populace also corrupts candidates and we all know it. People constantly talk about how politician will say anything publicly that will get them votes, right? Historically, some of the worst example of politicians are populists. And also some of the most foolish.

If each company were limited to a representative amount of dollars, I think that would be fine.
Great. How about $1,000,000,000? :-)

My tax man just called me; boy, would I have a lot of clout this year. :)
Hmmm... Might just be cheaper for me to buy a politician than pay. :-)

I am with you on limiting corporate funding of candidates like McCain and his phony campaign finance reform. But why should my individual right to support a candidate be limited?

Earth to Kevin Rose >>>>>I think that 'buying' representation leads to corruptable candidates.

EARTH TO KEVIN. kevin, it is illeagal to buy representation. In a country where the great majority (well about 48%) have so little respect of or knowledge of truth that they don't want to rush out and tar and feather someone who bends, spindles and mutilate the meaning of the words is. it is not possible to write laws to prevent corrupt candidates from being bought. Kevin the above is rich in wisdom.

Now the above is as certain as the fact that if one put on a blindfold in New York City and then sprints as fast as the can they won't get very far or run for very long.
That's called the thwock principle. This principle comes from I the principal of thwock, a holder of a PHD in the science of thwock.

PEANUT's, POPCORN's, THWOCK a vacant liberal mind..
