I have to say that I unfairly gave Whitman sh*t knowing full well she has done a good job when she was governor of New Jersey

I almost responded (unfairly) when you first made that Whitman post. I was born and raised in New Jersey. From my perspective, I always considered Whitman a moderate on the environment.

I did not know her record on the environment but I was aware of how she had made a number of improvements in NJ, including upgrading and promoting the business prospects of the state as well as cleaning up the state budget.....in other words, she ran a clean gov't not subject to corruption and bribery.

I think she will give the environmentalists a fair shake but will be pragmatic regarding some of their more extremist positions

After reading her memo to the President [posted by Windsock], I would tend to agree.
