Microsoft Proves Tough Competition For Palm Leader

I found that article surprising as all I see in electronic stores are Handspring and Palm devices. I can't find any Pocket PCs running on Windows.
My feeling was that Pocket PCs are not in demand and therefore stores don't stock them.
or..maybe the I see so many of the Palms because they can't sell them.<g>

That 9% market share for MSFT was a surprise to me.

This big profit warning from Palm could be the start of a major slide in market share...just as the writers of that article predict.

As I stated earlier, MSFT is going to emerge very strong out of this recession, slowdown, bubble..whatever you want to call it. Competitors' R and D's budgets are going to get slashed; moral will be low; creativity will decline.
Meanwhile...MSFT keeps rolling and moral gets better after the workers realize that a job at MSFT is the best thing for them. MSFT gets lots of talented people reversing the trend of losing them earlier. Good chance of winning the case in Appeals Court.

Gates and company are having fun these days.
