Found this on another thread:

DAMN CANADIANS
Believe it or not...this is the transcript of an
actual radio conversation between a US naval ship and
Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in
October 1995. The Radio conversation was released by
the Chief of Naval Operations on Oct. 10, 1995.

US Ship:
Please divert your course 0.5 degrees to the
south to avoid a collision.
CND reply:
Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees
to the South to avoid a collision.
US Ship:
This is the Captain of a US Navy Ship. I say
again, divert your course.
CND reply:
No. I say again, you divert YOUR course!
US Ship:
THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS CORAL SEA,
WE ARE A LARGE WARSHIP OF THE US NAVY. DIVERT YOUR
COURSE NOW!!

CND reply:
This is a lighthouse. Your call!!

Hi Wayne ... and the other half of Canada owns JDSU ....

Can an entire country file for bankruptcy ?

You guys missed the boat by trying to make money in technology. Here is Canada's best chance for world economic domination:

rogerschocolates.com

This is what I give my out of town family and friends for Christmas gifts. IMO, Canada's second best export, behind Shania <ggg>.

Yup, calls will be a good way to make money for at least another year. Since its quite possible the underlying stocks will not be going anywhere soon.

I called my MSFT source this weekend told him that if he has to exercise some of his options this year (and he does) .. to sell this week. His response ... "if you're telling me to sell we must be close to bottom." (To his credit, he does acknowledge the mismatch between MSFT's PE and its earnings growth rate).

Yeah right, just like CSCO "bottomed in the low 30's" :-(

We're not talking about pocket change here either.

Sigh.

Chris

Not here, but most of my friends did, and those who don't want to catch the bottom... I keep telling them to sell or don't try to catch the bottom, probably the best trading knowledge they have ever heard from a guy not on TV... they have been trying to catch the NT bottom when it was $60, then $45... I don't understand why do all these computer scienece, electrical and computer engineering guys all want to buy NT... because of the industry involvement?? and they don't know shit about the stock market... but they make at least 50k per year... now I know who keeps giving me money by selling hope to them... now that they'd better not to get fired by NT, JDSU, and CLS, my business need more donation to take off...

Options is complicated to me for now... and you can bet that will happen to my friends... (Wayne knows why, because he can expect what kind of friends I have around me...)... nothing can prevent them to lose a couple years of savings before starting to read books on investing, and there comes in the Motley Fools and CNBC guys... then follow the wrong leads, and lose a bit more... then part of them can probably pick up the drift, and the others will just give up on investing... and that's what Chris has been predicting... no more volume to follow through, and the market will be so dead? Hope not...
