Ice:

If acquiring short positions in the likes of softie is playing with fire, then not to worry as I have made a living doing as much for 20 years. There is a time to fold 'em and a time to hold 'em. Folks were saying the same kinds of things about CSCO and INTC just a few months ago. Grunt homework does make a difference in this game. (ng)

As for Softie, I have no position either way at the moment, but will likely acquire one in the near term.

My referenced post might be viewed as a subtle clue as to what I think may happen in the near term.

By the way, MU has now graduated to "core" at this end. Surprisingly, it has been relatively kind to me this past few months as a result of ducking in and out of it for a couple of bucks each time they have seriously rallied it.

I am still treating IBM (last year's best profit producer at this end) as a stock to be "auto-shorted" at each run-up and "auto-cleared" at each "correction", but it too may soon graduate to "core" status as well.

Best, Earlie
