kash, Scumbria sort of confirmed it's not Intel or AMD and before that, I had already edited my post. I suspect we will find that clock frequencies will only increase 50% using the same core on either AMD's or Intel's 0.13u process compared to TBird and current 0.18 P4.

I can guarantee that AMD/Intels/IBM's 0.18 process is a whole lot faster than TSMC's 0.15.

I've been away from this stuff for less than a year. What foundry offers a .11um (groundrule) process? It is hard to believe. In fact, I don't believe it.
