Well, I'm older than both of you. When I was young enough for my mom to have me sit down and watch anything, coverage of things like that wasn't live.

I was in grammar school when the Pledge of Allegiance was changed. I still say it the way I originally learned it.

I remember having a celebratory attitude when Nixon resigned....and I remember my parents being somber about it: They agreed with the resignation, but they were sad (and angry) that a President could have been involved in something like Watergate and the coverup and they just didn't see any reason to celebrate...they felt he tarnished the Presidency and the country.....it's hard to describe the somberness they had over the whole situation....

And now I'm off to spend the day with a sick friend....hope the market is good to you....
