John, RE: I was just pointing out that, in the real world, short sellers have a tendency to interpret any news as the "collapse" of the company, and their credibility is zero. Your remark was a great example, it was funny.

Note that you're referring to the small time short sellers of the bulletin board world rather than the people that make up probably 99% of the short sales in the market.

Their credibility is far from zero, at least from my perspective. Of course, outside Manuel Asensio, most everyone else refrains from discussing short selling in public.

I had all my money in Intel from July, 1987 to May, 1999. Then I switched to AMD. I am glad I did.

BTW, I am not a short seller. INTC is the only stock I short. 98% of my portfolio is long. Short selling is a dangerous game and I will only short a stock, whose business I understand completely.
