Mucho - On Growth versus Cyclical.

Wrong question.

At a certain point in time EVERY growth strategy must reach a saturation stage. Every Growth company that makes it that far will then reach a mature stage. Still "growing", but not like an uncontrolled weed. In a more mature, determined and predictable fashion.

Leaving out for the time being what CSCO is, what they WILL BE when they grow up is a Cyclical company. This is clear.

So the question isn't whether or not CSCO (stock) is Growth or Cyclical.

The question is: has Cisco (company) matured?

I posted my point of view on this a few months ago. Not mature, yet. But rapidly approaching maturity. A kind of corporate adolescence. So, still "growth", just not so aggressively. The transition is VERY difficult. Many companies fail to make it successfully and remain stunted.
