It has nada to do with a shortage of tax monies. No Ted, your right, no matter how fast taxes have grown in CA, they are still "one of the most aggressive places to reduce taxation in this country", and no matter how high they go they are still too low. I see the light now. Tim, You are like your hero GWB...you put together a few facts that fit your view of the world and then you run with it. No matter what I post or anyone else for that matter, you pull up another fact that out of context invalidates the new piece of evidence and makes your view work. So fine, what doe it matter that I lived in CA and saw first hand what was going on and you live 3K away. Forget that the subject matter falls in the area where I have an advanced degree. Forget that I am fiscally conservative and would not want to see $$$ p*ssed away for no good reason. Whether its taxes, the environment, traffic, the poor etc. Reps. find a way to blame it on a misconception or misunderstanding, and that it has nothing to do with money spent. So what can I say....Reps are the power. Your leader cares not want people think but rather what he wants. He acts like he has the mandate he didn't get. So, what is it when the leader does not have the popular vote but forces people to accept issues he wants rather than what they may want.....put simply, its called a dictatorship. And before you scoff, GWB controls the presidency, the Congress and the Sup. Ct. Its very scary the way this has set up expecially with him not having the popular vote. Bottom line.....this discussion is not about what's reasonable or fair but about what you all want. So go for it. In 4 years, assuming our democracy is still intact, I plan to work diligently to insure that dubya does not get re-elected. ted
