Yes, I do agree. I'll probably never leave. The upsides you mentioned are fantastic, as is the whether. I really like the fact that my kids are growing up in a diverse, tolerant culture (not a dig at other parts of the country, but I'm just more comfortable here). The downsides, however, need to be addressed: overcrowding, traffic, housing prices, crime (though here in San Jose it is very low, nationally), and our crazy politicians. Now, the energy crisis. I go back six generations in CA, so I guess I'm here to say. But that Maryland house sure sounds inviting....
