Nice story. Yes I read it, and there are some similarities I'll grant. The problem still remains that what Jesus taught directly contradicts the teachings of Buddha. Did Buddha walk on the water? Buddha seems to use the account metaphorically to emphasize the importance of faith in self effort. Jesus on the other hand is portrayed as being Lord over the power of the natural elements and the faith it talks about is in the person of Jesus not self effort. So it seems the only similarities are surface at best. The essence of Christianity is a personal relationship with a personal creator God through a substitutionary sacrifice for sin, other than that, Christianity and Buddhism are exactly the same, Ya right.

That being said, show me a reference to a document. Lets hold it up to the same level of scrutiny that the New testament documents are subjected to and we'll see if it holds any water, never mind walking on it. When was it written? What is the difference between that date and the oldest extant copy of the story? How do I know that your story is not a post A.D. 33 addition, crafted to lend credibility to Buddhism. Not saying it is, but you give me no way to know.
