RE: "FWIW: In 3 VERY small accounts I manage for relatives, I executed GTC orders for JDSU at $18 and $17.5."

Cary, I hope they're younger relatives! <g>

(BTW, I manage accounts for relatives as well. Take a look at Agilent (symbol "A") if you're in a buying mood.)

Cary - how did you arrive at those price targets for JDSU? Just curious.

OT: ....JDSU....CSCO...GLW...

I looked at all three this morning and decided to go with Corning (GLW). I see nothing wrong with any of these choices that a little time will not heal. Earlier in the week I bought a little Flextronics. Looking back at my records I see that I usually buy things about four to five weeks too early. I just can't break that habit, so get ready for a Memorial Day rally. At this point I would not put a whole lot faith in TA or FA. This market just hates any kind of analysis.

But as another mathematically inclined poster pointed out....if your portfolio drops by 20% a day for five days, you will still have 33% left to mess up. So whats there to worry about?
