Well, look at this:

"It appears that the addition of 1xRTT technology to a cdmaOne network will cause handsets using Nokia's chipsets to stop operating on the digital channel."

So what is this. Does this mean these phones drop dead completely, voice and all? If I was selling 1xRTT this could be the right time to make a career move to door-to-door vacuum cleaners.
