Hey Cos

Since the Justification that is received (Through faith in Christ's sacrifice) is a forensic one, and because "Salvation" has Past present and future applications, Christians continue to sin daily in word and thought and deed. It has been said we have been saved from the penalty of sin (past)(Justification). We are being saved from the power of sin (present)(Sanctification). Finally we will be saved from the presence of sin (future)(Glorification). This is the reformed, (And I think Biblical) view of what is broadly referred to as Salvation. Since God exists outside of Time, He views these separate elements as already being complete. I think Luther had a Latin phrase for this that I won't butcher by trying to spell it, but it means we are Both justified and sinful at the same time. It makes sense if you understand it properly.

P.S. This was and still is a major difference between Catholics and Protestants, and in fact led to the Reformation.

Greg

The Jews were believed to be the chosen flock in the days before the life of Christ. He was the self-proclaimed Messiah that the Jews were waiting for but they didn't recognize him as such. Apparently he did not fit the expectations that the Jews had of someone who would be their King and the Son of God.

His life gave rise to a new religion called Christianity where Christ was the central figure. Most of the Christian religions believe in the second coming of Christ. Perhaps they will again have false expectations of what this "second coming of Christ" will be like and completely miss him.

Heck, he could already have been executed in Texas!
