Tim,

Concerning ATYT, I really don't have any insight or an opinion for you. Sorry.

Pravin.

Tim, re:ATYT. I had some ATYT but sold it for a few bucks profit because it seemed like dead money. But I still think its a real buy because Intel would buy them in a flash if they got any cheaper. I think Tom's hinted they had something up their sleeve that was exciting.

<< What do you think of ATYT? I havn't bought any because Nvidia is winning the competition right now and ATYT is not currently profitable but at a stock price of about $4.25 and a sub billion market cap, it could be a potential turn around play. I think I would have to see some sign that a turnaround might happen and right now I'm not sure its there but I think I will keep looking (but not buying) for now. >>

I've been debating about NVDA and ATYT for awhile, NVDA is quickly becoming the gorilla of the market, and bare in mind that it probably won't be long before the video card is the most expensive component in any good pc. (that's right, more expensive then your processor). ATYT seems cheap, but I haven't seen much evidence of a turnaround. They are the last of the competition for NVDA though.

I have a hard time getting over NVDA's PE ratio compared to any other high tech company right now, but I think they're in such a dominating position that even I may be forced to buy. (I had bought at $10 post-split Oct 99, and closed out my position at an average of $45 when the x-box hoopla was happening, I wish I had hung on to half of it now, but I can't complain about my gain ;)
