Windsock,

Intel owns the IT aka business market.

Intel doesn't own anything. They are the current occupants, and the wolf is knocking at the door.

>>AMD has 17% of the PC processor market and virtually none of the business market. Intel holds virtually all of the IT aka business market for desktops PC's, except for an Apple machine here and there.<<

Doesn't it worry you a little that AMD has 17% of the total CPU market with virtually no presence in the corporate, laptop, and server markets? Do you think that they will never penetrate these other markets? IT professionals are not stupid (well, most aren't <g>).

It's only a matter of time before AMD creeps into the corporate market. A shift of marketshare from 17/83 to 25/75 will hurt Intel a little bit, but it will be huge for AMD.
