Tom, I listened to the Micron (MU) call also...

the tone sounded more than a little defensive with no enthusiasm at all. No congratulatory "great Q" quotes either, which of course is no surprise. The endless pursuit of the "inventory" questions indicates to me that more than a few have trouble with it. I liked the "I just got kicked in the shins under the table" comment best when one of them offered his own opinion. I don't know how anyone can really put together a meaningful estimate given the conspicuous absence of guidance. OTOH, without guidance, MU won't need to warn - could be a good strategy. All in all, the numbers are bad [http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=15585122] and while it may take some time, this one is overvalued under any analysis and will fall significantly, imo.

Tom,

I am buying NEWP today, first purchase 28.33, will add as it falls, which I hope it does. Low P/E fiber company which has continued to reiterate earnings guidance going forward.

I don't think these guys are scumbags like NUFO management, they raised guidance and will meet, IMO.

Also, unlike many techs these days, their forward P/E is lower than trailing P/E.
