dude, I am just playing the percentage
your stock might move 5-10% higher, but if your stock warn or one that is in the same industry warn, you can be down 10-20% (or even 50% like PALM) before you know it ...

it all boils down to, do you feel lucky ...
stocks are not going straight down, if so, we will go to zero in 2 weeks, we would get rallies from time to time, but to me, holding long overnight at this time is not something I want to gamble on ...
not to mention, I expect the techs to be 20-25% lower than this level sometime in the next 6 months ...

another way I look at this is, a stock looks cheap going from 200 to 10, it is as easy for it to go to 5
If you bought at 200, going to 10 or 5 really does not make much difference, but for the dude who bought at 10, going to 5 already means a 50% haircut, in which he has to double just to break even ...

Kevin;

I agree that the techs have room to rally, perhaps to the 2200 level even. Further, with biggies reporting earnings after endless warnings, there is cause.

Last year, earnings were great and we tanked. This year, everyone knows they suck. Everyone 'knows' tax loss selling is due. So everyone expects disaster. Which is why I don't.

I'm just not sure where the rally begins. Tomorrow? Next Thursday?

I'd feel better rallying from 1500. But I'll take it wherever it comes. I do expect to hit amazing lows, but I think much of that will occur between July and October.

I like your thoughts on it; makes sense to me.
