ZO- If the capex arms race does not resume, the SPs could make a lot of money! I know that's not what telecom equipment investors want to hear. But without a catalyst(or incentive), ILECs/IXCs may just sit for awhile.

That is why I think the FCC should kiss the feet of cable companies that offer broadband data and telephony. The same treatment for the fixed broadband wireless SPs too. No more of this CLEC nonsense (attempts to share the copper twisted pair). The ILECs need REAL competition in the local loop. Hopefully Powell (new FCC chairman) is of like mind.

That $100 billion local loop pie needs to be seriously sliced up. -MikeM(From Florida)
